"I recently injured my back for the first time while weightlifting with a trainer in their home gym. It was very painful and I was afraid I would be unable to exercise for months. I love weightlifting, so it was important to me that I work with a PT who understood strength training & could get me back to lifting safely.
I found CAIRN through a quick Google search & was grateful to speak with Andrew the day of my injury. He fit me into his schedule immediately and helped calm my fears.
Andrew is a wizard!! He's the best PT I have ever worked with & I have worked with several. He's very patient, lighthearted & made me comfortable in each session.
We worked with the barbell in some of my sessions and Andrew was fantastic helping me with my form. I learned a lot about proper lifting & what likely led to my injury. We also discussed & adjusted my programming so that I could safely continue going to the gym without compromising my healing.
I'm happy to say I have been pain free for 3 weeks now! I have decided to stick with CAIRN for ongoing strength training & will be training with Teresa over the next few months. Thank you CAIRN!"

"I'm a customer of both Jeremy for personal training the past 2 years, and Andrew for Physical Therapy the past 8 months. Both are great and highly recommended.
The personal training is great for beginners and intermediate weight lifting and training (Squats, deadlifts, press, bench press etc) and I really learnt good technique and habits and I really got into it. Now I lift 3-4 times a week. It's a super fun setting with a good mix of women and men and totally no judgement. Everyone gets along great.
Andrew is by far the best Physical Therapist I've ever had. He takes his time to figure out the real problem and solve it. I've had back and neck issues my entire life, and so has my Dad. I'm not blessed with genetics in that regard. Andrew first fixed my C6 issue after I switched from another PT that had no results. After the first appointment I knew I was in good hands and sure enough he had me fixed up in a few weeks. Then I got tennis elbow and again Andrew was able to cure that, although it took awhile (which is normal for tennis elbow). Then more recently I had an upper back issue and Andrew was again able to help me recover from that. I've sent my Mum and Dad to see Andrew and all had a great experience. If you're looking for a first class PT look no further."

"I have been working with Cairn Strength & Wellness for over a year. I am avid cyclist and endurance athlete. I needed a place to improve my strength and power out put on the bike. I have raised my power output on the bike by 25 watts.
I had had little experience with lifting olympic weights I chose the gym based on the focus being on proper technique and form being the focus. Plus, the trainers have a great background in Physical Theraphy, it gave me more confidence I was not going to get injured by lifting. My progress continues to improve. This is a direct result of the personalized programming and planning with the personal trainers there."

In August 2021, I suffered a season – ending hockey injury resulting in a severely herniated disc. Prior to my injury, I was reasonably fit but did not participate in any sort of strength training regimen. I played hockey competitively two to three times a week, in an athletically demanding position requiring a high level of balance and core strength. After the injury, my herniated disc resulted in a case of sciatica so severe that I could barely leave the bed for a month. I could barely walk, could not run, I couldn’t even lay flat without severe pain. I had trouble doing even basic tasks around the house such as picking up my laundry hamper or feeding my dog. I came to Jeremy for help and have been participating in his strength training program for almost five months. Jeremy’s background with my type of injury allowed him to create a modified weightlifting program specifically tailored to my situation. Starting from basic body weight movements, I have progressed to personal records for my four foundational types of lifts. It is incredible that despite my injuries, Jeremy has coached me into being the strongest I’ve ever been in my entire life. Today, I still experience extremely mild amounts of pain, but my range of motion has returned to normal and I’m able to complete all my daily tasks. Strength training has given me confidence in my movement again. I am looking forward to returning to playing very soon. I know that when I do, I will be more resilient to injury while performing better than I have ever done due to the stability my strength training has given my back and core. I hope to go on to continue my athletic career to the same or even higher levels of performance than before my injury.
